Everyone we speak with has expressed concern about the high cost of their electric bills.  That’s why the Affordable Housing Partnership (AHP) and the Albany Community Land Trust (ACLT) are partnering with the Capital Region Clean Energy Hub to share information on ways to bring that cost down.

We are hosting a hybrid in-person workshop and webinar on programs and strategies that can save you money and energy.  Thursday, October 22nd, 5:30-7 at 255 Orange St, Albany.  Participants who attend the in-person session will receive a kit with DIY energy efficiency supplies including powerstrips, lightbulbs and more.  If you attend online, you'll be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift card.

Attendees will receive information about energy savings programs for households of any income.  Programs are available to tenants and homeowners.  Programs include the Energy Affordability Program (EAP) that provides bill discounts, and Community Solar programs that allow you to buy discounted electricity.  There are also programs to help pay for insulating your home which lowers your energy costs and makes your home more comfortable. Homeowners and tenants can participate (with the cooperation of the landlord).
